Return & Refund Policy

This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made from AVIKII™ and is drafted in accordance with applicable South African legislation, including:

  • the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”);
  • the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECTA”);
  • applicable common law principles.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights afforded to consumers under South African law.

2. General Returns

Customers may request a return by contacting AVIKII™ within a reasonable period after delivery.

Returned products must:

  • be unused where applicable;
  • be returned in original packaging where reasonably possible;
  • include all supplied accessories and components;
  • not show signs of misuse, negligent handling, modification, or damage.

Returns may be subject to inspection before approval.


3. CPA Cooling-Off Rights (Online Purchases)

Where applicable under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (“ECTA”), customers may cancel certain online transactions within 7 days after receipt of goods.

The following conditions apply:

  • products must be returned unused and in substantially original condition;
  • direct return shipping costs may be payable by the customer;
  • AVIKII™ may deduct reasonable costs where goods were damaged, used, altered, or incomplete.

This cooling-off right does not apply where legislation excludes such returns, including certain custom-made or specially manufactured products.


4. Custom-Made & Special-Order Products

Many AVIKII™ products are manufactured, coated, threaded, adapted, or configured according to customer specifications.

Accordingly, once production has commenced:

  • custom-made;
  • specially threaded;
  • specially coated;
  • personalised;
  • made-to-order;
  • adapted compatibility products

may not qualify for cancellation, refund, or exchange except where required under the CPA.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all supplied specifications, measurements, and threading information are accurate.


5. Defective Products

Under section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, consumers may be entitled to repair, replacement, or refund where goods:

  • are defective;
  • fail to function as intended;
  • are materially inconsistent with their description;
  • are unsafe.

This implied warranty applies for the period prescribed by applicable law.

AVIKII™ reserves the right to inspect returned products before determining the appropriate remedy.


6. Exclusions

Returns, refunds, warranties, or exchanges may not apply where damage or defects result from:

  • misuse;
  • negligent handling;
  • improper installation;
  • incompatible firearm platforms;
  • incorrect threading specifications supplied by the customer;
  • unauthorized modification;
  • excessive heat exposure;
  • unlawful use;
  • ordinary wear and tear.

7. Incorrect Orders

Customers must inspect products upon delivery.

Any incorrect, missing, or damaged items must be reported to AVIKII™ within 48 hours of receipt.


8. Refund Process

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

Refund processing times may vary depending on:

  • banking institutions;
  • payment providers;
  • courier investigations where applicable.

Shipping or courier fees may be non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.


9. Return Shipping

Unless otherwise required under the CPA:

  • customers may be responsible for return courier costs;
  • AVIKII™ may arrange collection where appropriate.

Returned items remain the customer’s responsibility until received by AVIKII™.


10. Product Compatibility

Customers remain solely responsible for:

  • confirming firearm compatibility;
  • supplying accurate thread measurements;
  • obtaining professional gunsmithing advice where required.

AVIKII™ shall not be liable for incompatibility arising from incorrect customer specifications.

12. Governing Law

This policy shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
